Axel Ebbe studied painting for Fred Krebs, and the sculpture of the Norwegian-Danish sculptor Stephan Sinding. He undertook study tours to Berlin, Vienna, Paris and London. His work is commonly found in public places in Skåne, Sweden. He was also an illustrator and writer. After his death in 1941 donated his works to the city of Trelleborg, Sweden. In 1935, opened an art gallery for his sculptures, it is currently operated by the municipality of Trelleborg, Sweden.
Axel Ebbe studerade måleri för Fredrik Krebs och i skulptur för norsk-danske skulptören Stephan Sinding. Han företog studieresor till Berlin, Wien, Paris och London. Hans verk är vanligt förekommande på offentliga platser i Skåne. Han var även illustratör och diktare. Efter hans död 1941 donerades hans verk till staden Trelleborg. År 1935 öppnades en konsthall avsedd för hans skulpturer, den drivs idag av Trelleborgs kommun.
