Signature proven counterfeit
Mixed media with ink, 43,5 x36 cm, composition, signed "T Kantor 1955". The painting was sold for SEK 5,340 by a smaller auction house in Stockholm in spring 2010. The buyer came back and wanted to cancel the purchase, he claims that an expert in Poland investigated the painting which revealed that the painting is not made by the famous Polish artist Tadeus Kantor. At the police investigation reveals that the man who submitted the painting as well, on several occasions, submitted counterfeits of other Polish artists for sale see (Stanislaw Zoladz,Alfred Lenica,Jacqes Zucker).
