Vase of glass signed "Gallé", height 21.5 cm. Ostensibly depicting a genuine vase made and signed Gallé. The vase was for sale at an online auction house in Stockholm, Sweden. It was submitted by a private person together with another vase, which was not a forgery. The vase was sold for 400 euros to a person living in Belgium. The buyer suspected that the vase was not genuine and contacted experts who judged that it was a forgery. The vase was withdrawn by the auction house and handed over to police for further investigation. Court: The vase is not genuine, it is a forgery.
