Born in Manila but now a California resident, Sergon grew up surrounded by the diverse cultural influences of China, Japan, And South East Asia. He studied at The University Of The Philippines College Of Fine Arts and later studied at The Scudia Lorenzo De Medici In Florence, Italy. He is noted for his paintings of brilliant still lifes and lush gardens, marked with tranquility. Sergon at one time painted a mural for the Chief Executive Palace in the Phillipines, commissioned by Imelda Marcos.
