Tätig in München in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts. Ab 1867 Schüler der Wiener Akademie, ab 1872 bei Alexander Wagner an der Münchner Akademie. Einige seiner humoristischen Klosterszenen wurden auch durch Reproduktionen weithin bekannt. Ab 1913 ständiger Aufenthalt in München, stellte ab 1879 bis 1911 wiederholt im Münchner Glaspalast aus sowie auch in London, wo er 1893 die Silberne und 1894 die Bronzene Medaille erhielt.

Adolf Humborg was active in Munich in the second half of the 19th Century. In 1867 he studied at the Vienna Academy, in 1872 the Munich Academy of Alexander Wagner. From 1913 he lived in Munich.
He received prestigious awards for his painting. In London he won silver in 1893 and bronze 1894.
