Agda Holst ended up at the Académie Colarossi with among others the Norwegian artist Christian Krohg. 1910 followed by art studies in Munich with Julius Exter and 1911-12 returned Agda Holst to Paris where she became a pupil of Kees van Dongen. In the 1920s she continued with Andre Lhote and then returned to Sweden. Agda Holst oeuvre is characterized by an objective design language with a moderately stylized in the cubist style, with strong influence from Andre Lhote. The subjects are mostly still lifes, portraits, figure studies and naturalistically rendered landscapes

Agda Holst hamnade på Académie Colarossi tillsammans med bl a den norska konstnären Christian Krohg. 1910 följde konststudier i München hos Julius Exter och 1911-12 återvände Agda Holst till Paris där hon blev elev till Kees van Dongen. På 1920-talet fortsatte hon hos André Lhote och återvände därefter till Sverige. Agda Holst konstnärsskap präglas av ett sakligt formspråk med ett måttfullt stiliserande i kubistisk stil med starkt påverkan från speciellt Lhote. Motiven är oftast stilleben, porträtt, figurstudier och naturalistiskt hållna landskap
