When the painting was exhibited for the Calder foundatin in New York U.S.A. assessed the painting as counterfeiting.

Gouache, composition, signed "Calder 71", approx. 70x100 cm. Submitted to to an major auction house in Stockholm in march 2005. The auction house became unsure of the painting's authenticity and show it to Mr. Rover Calder Foundation in New York. They explain that it is a forgery. Submitter has owned the painting since the 1970's. It was bought by her husband in a gallery in Stockholm, Sweden.
