Born in Córdoba, Argentina in 1934, Seguí studied art and sculpture in France and Spain.n nIn 1958 he went to Mexico where he met David Alfaro Siqueiros and studied printmaking techniques. He exhibited at the Paris Biennial of Young Painters in 1963 and has resided in Paris ever since. His work has been shown in numerous galleries and museums in the Americas and Europe, including the E. Franck Gallery Knokke-Le-Zoute, Belgium; the E. Franck Gallery, Chicago; Claude Bernard Gallery, New York; Museo de Artes Visuales, Montevideo, Uruguay; Centre d'Art Contemporaine, Mont-de-Marsan, France; Sonia Zannettacci Gallery, Geneva, Switzerland; Galleria San Carlo, Milan, Italy; Fundacao C. Gulbenkaian, Portugal; Gallerie J. Rubeiz, Beirut, Lebanon. Awards include First Prize from the Lodz Museum in 1967, Juror's Prize in both the I and VII San Juan Biennial of the Latin American Print (1970 and 1986) and the Grand Prize of the Fondo Nacional de las Artes, Buenos Aires, in 1990. A Retrospective of his career was hosted by the Frissiras Museum in Athens, Greece, in 2004.
