Arthur Lutenbacher was born in Burgundy in 1916. Four years old he came to Sain-Paul. At the age of ten he had begun to paint and sculpt, advised and encouraged by famous artists already living in Saint-Paul. 1945 he bought an old 16th century house in the heart of the village, and there opened his studio.
