Ary Jean Léon Bitter est un sculpteur français. Il voit le jour à Marseille en 1883. Il réalise principalement des statuettes sur des sujets mythologiques ou animaliers. Ancien élève de Jules Coutant il expose au Salon des Artistes français entre 1910 et 1939 où son travail est plusieurs fois récompensé. En 1924 il reçoit la médaille d’or, mais également en 1937 lors de L’Exposition internationale. En 1932 il avait été fait chevalier de la légion d’honneur.
