Carl Wilhelm Nordgren studied at the Art Academy of Fredrik Westin and then engaged almost exclusively in portrait painting. He is estimated to have painted about 600 portraits. Represented: National Museum in Stockholm, Malmo Museum and the Swedish National Portrait Collection at Gripsholm Castle.
