Carl Reichert war ein österreichischer Maler der Genreszenen, Stadtszenen und Tieren. Berühmt wurde er vor allem für seine Hunde-Porträts. Die erste Schulung bekam er bei seinen Vater, der sich auch auf Tiere konzentrierte. Weiter studierte er bei E. J. Turner und C. Moser in München und Rom.
