Oil on board, signed "C. Meunier", size 59x68 cm. Ostensibly depicting a genuine painting by artist Constantin Emile Meunier. The painting was for sale at an online auction house in Stockholm, Sweden in April 2015. The staff contacted the police and reported that they had a suspected counterfeit painting signed C. Meunier for sale. The police took the painting seized for further investigation. According to expert opinion from Belgium are the painting's signature forged and thus not a genuine works of Constantin Emile Meunier. Court decision: Examination and expert opinion showed that the painting was a forgery. The painting is forfeited.
