Sohn des spanischen Malers Antonio Cortés, studierte 1899 bei William Adolphe Bouguereau, 1911 war er erstmals erfolgreich im Salon des Indépendants vertreten. Wie Luigi Loir widmet er sich überwiegend Pariser Straßenszenen, die er in verschiedenen Tages- oder Jahreszeiten darstellte.

Son of the Spanish painter Antonio Cortés, studied in 1899 by William Adolphe Bouguereau, 1911, he was the first to successfully represented in the Salon des Independants. Luigi Loir as he devoted himself mainly Parisian street scenes, which he depicted in various day or year.
