Franz Werner von Tamm was trained in his early days with Th van Soest and John Pfeiffer, the history painter. Later he moved thematically into the decorative flowers - and fruit painting, turned to Rome 1685 -1695 and thus Mario Nuzzi, called Dei Fiori.
Under whose guidance he developed into a master of his craft. 1695 Leopold I called the painter of the Viennese court, where he has gained a reputation as one of the leaders in the still-life painting, his influence has this art form throughout the 18th Century.
