Belgischer Genremaler. Schüler von David, später von Joseph Paelincks, galt als einer der besten Schüler Davids. Wurde als Maler von Familienszenen berühmt. Erhielt eine Professur an der Brüsseler Akademie. Werke seiner Hand in mehreren öffentlichen Museen, etwa Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, Brüssel etc. Zahlreiche Ölbilder seiner Hand wurden in Lithografien vervielfältigt.

Jean Henri de Coene was a Belgian genre painter. Pupil of David, and later by Joseph Paelinck, was considered one of the best students to David. Became known as a painter of family scenes. Received a professorship at the Academy in Brussels. Works by his hand is represented in several public museums, including the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, Brussels, etc. Many of his paintings were reproduced as lithographs.
