Jerry Weers began his professional painting career in 1974 after graduating from Texas Lutheran College where he studied drawing and painting while pursuing a degree in English...Initially Jerry worked primarily in watercolor, but in 1980 after studying print making at the San Antonio Art Institute he began etching as well...Then in 1985 he took up what is now his preferred medium of oil painting, which he studied with David Leffel and Gregg Kreutz at the Scottsdale artist School...Jerry Weers maintains a studio in Seguin, Texas, about 40 miles east of San Antonio.
