Signature proven counterfeit
Mixed media, signed "J. Cheret", motives masked, size 40x32 cm, rectangular shaped. The painting was submitted to a major auction house in September 2015 for sales. The auction house received a notice indicating that målninen was a probable forgery. During the police investigation in 2016 revealed that the painting been presented to Blanchet & Associés and which declared non genuine. 2004 this painting was sold for about SEK 20000-25000. After an expert examination revealed that this is a forgery.
