Jun Dobashi est un artiste japonais né en 1910 et décédé en 1975. Il est surtout connu pour son œuvre abstrait. Il étudie tout d’abord à l’Académie des arts de Tokyo dès 1933. En 1938, il part pour Paris et revient l’année suivante. De 1953 à 1969, il vit et travaille en France. Il y réalise de nombreuses lithographies et expose pour la première fois en 1954 à Paris. Deux ans plus tard, il remporte le prix du Dôme. De 1960 à 1969, il expose de manière récurrente à la Fricker Gallery. En 1961, il expose seul à la Redfern Gallery de Londres. Il participe également au Salon de Mai à Paris, de manière régulière entre 1956 et 1960. En 1960, il expose à la Galerie Charpentier.
