Lena Börjeson är dotter till John Börjeson och syster till målaren Gunnar samt skulptören Börje Börjeson.
Hon utbildades av sin far i skulpturkonsten, och följde med honom på konstresor till Italien 1905-1906. Hon flyttade till Paris 1916 där hon utnändes till föreståndare för Maison Watteau (L´Académie Scandinave) 1918-1935. Vid återkomsten till Sverige statade hon en skulpturskola i Stockholm.
