Max Lundström heltidsslöjdare sedan 1985. Med rötter i Björkvattsdalen i Tärna. Numera boende i Volgsele gamla stationshus, Vilhelmina ligger 17 km utanför.
Under ett antal år har jag arbetat med att utveckla och förnya det samiska slöjdhantverket, främst med nyare former.
Det kännetecknas av den runda mjuka formen materialet har visat vägen till. Jag förenar känslan för material, form och funktion. En vidareutveckling av det samiska formspråket. Ett nyskapande i estetiskt tilltalande balans, funktion och tradition.
Fick 2008 Västerbottens läns landstings Kulturstipendium.
