Paul Müller-Kaempff biography:

Müller-Kaempff studied at the Academy in Düsseldorf, before he became a student of Schönleber at the Academy in Karlsruhe, from 1883 to 1986. Until 1888, he then learned at the studio of Hans Fredrik Gude at the Academy in Berlin. He moved to Hamburg, where he was appointed professor in 1906. Müller-Kaempff was one of the most popular and innovative landscape painters of his time. His works were collected by the German royalty as much as by collectors from South America and all over the world. He is also known as the founder of the artist colony Ahrenshoop that is still active today.
