Pierre Dionisi (Pierre Georges Vielledent) biography:
Originally from Corsica ( Chigliacci of Campulori ), son of a Dionisi, his surname was Vielledent, received the Prix de Rome for painting at age 19 for his Christ in Croix (Christ on the cross). I remained pensioner in Rome during the period between 1924 and 1927. They excel particularly the paintings he did for the wall decoration of wedding hall of the City of Puteaux , opened in 1934 . In 1936-1937 he was responsible for the decoration of one of the gates of the Paris Exposition, making a relief in painted plaster, depicting allegorical figures of painting and sculpture. Preserved in the collection of the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Corsica has greatly inspired his works; with other contemporary painters of the island as Lucien Peri , Corbellini Francois and Jean-Baptiste Pekle marked the artistic renaissance in postwar Corsica; was also a sculptor.
