A person "EI" submitted, October 27, 1993, an oil painting signed RE to an auction house in Copenhagen in Denmark for sale. The painting was sold for DK 5000. The painting turned out to be a forgery. In the suspect's apartment, police found materials from auction catalogs, photocopies of art books, etc.. This was found among sketches, studies and preparation for this painting.
