\"Sigrid Sandström förtrollar och förför med sina magnifika landskap. Med en såväl gedigen som imponerande meritlista har hon under de senaste åren etablerat sig och nått stora framgångar i Sverige, men kanske främst i USA. Idag är hon verksam som assistant professor vid Bard College samtidigt som hon representeras av ett flertal välrenommerade gallerier. Sandström arbetar med olika typer av uttryckssätt, exempelvis installationer och video såväl som skulpturer men ser sig främst som målare. Hon bygger upp sina bilder bit för bit och använder sig ofta av collage. Den blå färgen är ett återkommande tema, ofta är hela målningar uppbyggda av olika blå nyanser, från den vita kyliga nästan isande kulören till den mörkaste djupaste svart. Sandströms teknik är förundransvärd, hon besitter en förmåga att med hjälp av små medel lyckas förtrolla och suga in sina betraktare i bilderna.\"
