Sten Eklund studerade vid Konsthögskolan i Stockholm. Han arbetar i Marcel Duchamps anda. Känd bl.a. för sitt arbete med den fiktive 1800-talsbotanikern J M G Paléen upptäckt av ett underligt samhälle, 1971 och Kullahuset hemligheter med 53 st akvarelliserade kopparstålstick med tillhörande skulpturer som handlar främst om blockeringar. Har även gjort märkliga bataljmålningar befolkade med mekaniska figuer.
