Biografi

Biography
Uffe Christoffersen had his debut at the Charlottenborg’s Spring Exhibition in 1971, he where a member of the artistic group Violet Sol 1974-88.
Uffe moved in 1990 to south of France, to a little village Fontareches in Provence together with his wife, Annette Hoff-Jessen, who also is a painter. Uffe Christoffersen is clearly an expressive painter. His distinguished weapon is the colour and here, he is scientific in his passion. His style is a “devil-may-care”, vividly coloured and seducing form of new-expressionism. Uffe Christoffersen has a spontaneous and energetic painterly manner, as not seen since the COBRA painters turned everything upside-down.

The motifs are often tigers or mythological figures.
