Vincent Van GOGH
1853–1890, Netherlands
Oil on canvas. 50x60 cm, signed "Vincent". The entire painting is a forgery, a so-called genuine forgery. Painting and the signature is painted at the same time. The frame is of Swedish type. Vincent van Gogh lived 1853-1890 and the painting can not be that old. The painting is systematically painted, Van Gogh painted never that way. He had a more rotating style. Signature is similar to van Gogh. It's probably made in the 1900s the first half and it could very well be the same forger who made the two Monet paintings found here in the Art Signature Dictionary. In a statement from "Rijksbureau voor Kunsthistorische documentatie" in The Hague, Netherlands, said that the painting style is quite different from van Gogh's work and completely foreign to his art. Court: The painting is an original forgery and not signed by Vincent van Gogh. It is a forgery.
