Åke Nilsson studied at the Arts and Crafts Association and at \"Valand\" with Endre Nemes and Torsten Renqvist in Sweden. He belonged to the artist group \"Six Aspects\". He paints expressive, dynamic figure compositions, portraits and landscapes. He made his debut in the Little Gallery in Stockholm in 1960 has since had a fifty solo exhibitions. Represented: National Museum, Modern Museum in Turku, Stockholm, Gothenburg Museum of Art, Malmö Museum, Museum in Örebro, Boras, Kiruna City collections.
