Awiki was born in 1961 in Surabaya (East Java), Indonesia. Now Awiki lives in Bali. Awiki paint with a brush hardened to function like a palette-knife, he works very fast with great conviction. Awiki paints directly from life, travel around with his materials to the site.

* Studied painting from Bani Amora in Genteng, Banyuwangi at age of twelve Intermediate School of Art (SMSR) Yogyakarta
*Studied painting from Dullah at Sanggar Pajeng, a studio known for its adherence to realism
