Antonio Susillo
(Sevilla, 1857- id., 1896) Escultor español. Estudió en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de París y en Roma. Su carrera está marcada por el ambiente modernista de su estancia en París y acabó repentinamente con su suicidio. Obtuvo diversos premios en exposiciones nacionales (segundos premios en 1887 y 1890). Su obra es descriptiva y de carácter realista (La primera contienda, Madrid; El lazarillo de Tormes; Harén de Boabdil, Sevilla). Es autor también de los monumentos a Montañés, Velázquez, Daoíz (Sevilla) y Colón (Valladolid).
