Göran Gidenstam was born in 1949 in Stenungsund, Bohuslän in Sweden and living in Stockholm, Sweden. He was educated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts 1970-76 and is represented on dozens of Swedish museums, including Museum of Modern. Since the mid-70s, he has completed thirty solo exhibitions.
Göran Gidenstam är född 1949 i Stenungsund, Bohuslän och bosatt i Stockholm. Han är utbildad på Kungliga Konsthögskolan 1970-76 och är representerad på ett tiotal svenska muséer, bl a Moderna Muséet. Sedan mitten av 70-talet har han genomfört ett trettiotal separatutställningar, bl a på Galleri Doktor Glas 1984 och 1988. Konstnären har utfört många offentliga utsmyckningsuppdrag runt om i landet, bl a en väggmålning i Riksdagshuset och huvudentrén till S-E banken i Rissne. Han har även skapat motivet till frimärket inför öppnandet av nya Moderna Muséet 1998.
