Tysk-svensk tecknare, målare, etsare och grafiker. Studerade i Hamburg och Italien. Kom troligen genom Ehrenstrahls förmedling, 1683 till Sverige. Erik Dahlberg och Ehrenstrahl gav honom år 1683 uppdragetatt måla Karl XI:s bragder. Därpå började han måla stora bataljmålningar, Slaget vid Halmstad och Slaget vid Lund, på Drottningholm, vilka är av visst historiskt värde.
