Nikolai Vassilievich NEVREV

Nevrev was born in Moscow and studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. He was among the leading Russian portraitists of the early 1860 s. He joined the Peredvizhniki in 1881 and from 1887 to 1890 taught at the Moscow school of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture.
