This painting has more quality than the previous two counterfeit Hjortzberg-signed paintings in the seizure (PHM no. 26 and no. 29). It are not so grossly painted and the background has a nice shade. The painting was not made by Hjortzberg. The signature is faster than Hjortzbergs. Hjortzberg signed his name with great accuracy. Although this painting is from the years 1930-1950 and is reminiscent of 1800s traditional style. It is painted a pretty talented painter but Olle Hjortzberg are not the author of this painting. It are painted sometime melancholy years 1940-1950 and low-quality to be painted by Olle Hjortzberg. The signature are skillfully made but are not written by Olle Hjortzberg. The subject has some similarity to Hjortzbergs painting but especially the lower left portion of the painting is naive painted. The artist has missed Hjortzbergs style in some parts of the painting. Imitation counterfeiting, 74x61 cm. The painting is indistinctly signed. On the back of the screen the following was noted: "This is to certify the authenticity of the reverse oil painting. Painted and signed by the artist Olle Hjortzberg. G. Jaensson ". The painting is not painted by Hjortzberg. It may have been painted in the early 1900s. The painting is painted rumpled and not in Hjortzberg style. The painting is done by a skilled amateur. Conservator Gustav Jaensson denies that he signed certificate of authenticity in the back of the canvas. District Court: Painting has become a forgery by the certificate of authenticity.
