Oil on canvas, "Borgerlig bakgrund", 100x70 cm, signed "Peter Dahl". The painting was submitted to a major auction house in Stockholm for the valuation of a private person "BA" in April 2010. Auction House staff became suspicious about the painting's authenticity and contacted the police who took the painting seized for further investigation. The artist Peter Dahl testified in the inquiry and stated that he was not the originator of this painting. Submitter "BA" stated that he had the painting for inspection to perhaps buy it for 40,000 Swedish crowns and that the painting belongs to "HJ". HJ is known to the police for similar frauds! At questioning it emerged that "HJ" previously sold numerous paintings to BA signed "Bengt Lindström" although these were seized at the home of BA in May 2010. Court: "HJ" has given the impression that Peter Dahl was originator of the painting and thus misled "BA" in the belief that this is a genuine Peter Dahl to persuade "BA" to buy it. The painting is a forgery and should be forfeited. The crime is aggravated fraud and systematic and professional crime.
Oil on canvas, 37x50 cm, title "My Grandmother's House" and signed Peter Dahl. The painting came to the police in April 2010 in connection with another counterfeit Peter Dahl-painting was presented to a major auction house in Stockholm. The painting was confiscated at the home of the submitter "BA" for further investigation. The artist Peter Dahl testified in the investigation and stated that he was not the author of this painting. The owner "BA" had bought the painting of one of the police known person "HJ". Court: "HJ" has given the impression that Mr Dahl was the author of the painting and thus misled the buyer in the belief that this is a genuine signed Peter Dahl-painting and sold it to the "BA" for a value of 5,000 SEK. The painting is a forgery and shall be forfeited. The crime is serious fraud means the utterance of forged signatures, and formed part of a systematic and professional crime.
Oil on canvas, restaurant interior with figures, 55x85 cm, signed "Peter Dahl" in the lower high corner. A private person, K.Å.J. wanted to pledge the painting to 25,000 Swedish crowns at the company "Pantbelåning in Göteborg AB" Sweden, despite the fact that it could be valued at a few hundred thousand Swedish kronor (approx. € 20,000). Submitter could not strength the painting with any documentation. He stated that it was inherited. Any documentation from the estate did not exist. At the pawn shop had suspicion of the painting authenticity and police were contacted. The painting was confiscated and the ensuing investigation revealed that the signature is a forgery. Court: Attempted fraud. A forged signature has been applied to the painting in the aim to lull potential buyers that this is a genuine oil painting by Peter Dahl.
Oil on canvas, Interior with figures, signed "Peter Dahl", approx. 50x70 cm. The painting is part of a major seizures of counterfeit art in southwestern Sweden in 2002. The study showed the painting to the artist Peter Dahl, who announced: "This painting is a very bad copy of a lithograph I did in the 1990's. The painting is only available as lithography. Greetings Peter Dahl". Court: The painting is a forgery.

Målningen har tagits i beslag av polis och efter utredning bedömts som en förfalskning. Domstolens beslut: Målningen är försedd med en förfalskad signatur.
