Etching, signed "Dali" title "King Solomon", size 40x25 cm, numbered E/29/250. The etching was submitted to an online auction house in August 2013 to be sold. Auction House's own staff suspected that the painting was not genuine and contacted police. After seizing the painting was examined and was found to be a forgery. Among others are not registered to numbers available with the letter and 250 ex. After investigation it was found that it was a forgery. The painting is forfeited.

The staff at the auction house suspected that the etching was not genuine and called in police who took it seized for further investigation. The seller stated in a police interrogation that the etching was inherited from his parents, who "long ago" bought in southern Sweden probably Malmö and now wanted to sell it. The seller received a disclosure of expert opinions and accepted that the etching was a forgery.

The painting had been filed by a private person who states in questioning that he bought the painting for about 20 years ago by a good friend whose father was an art dealer. After investigation it was found that the painting is a forgery.

The police were called by staff at an auction house in Stockholm Sweden on the grounds that they had received two paintings for sale that probably was not genuine. Signed "Dali" and "Munch". During the investigation, stated the owner that she bought the two paintings on e-bay in spring 2013., She had paid 200 USD for Dali and 800 USD for Munch. The investigation concluded that the two paintings were fakes. They are now forfeited.

The etching was sold but because suspicion arose that it might be a counterfeit was summoned police who seized it for further investigation. Upon further inquiry experts could be established that the etching was a counterfeit. It was also found that it previously been sold in Helsinki, Finland. Court: The etching is entirely a counterfeit not done by Salvador Dali nor signed by him. The signature shall be removed and stamped on the back, that it is a forgery. After that the owner regain the etching. Warning! There is a risk that the etching may come on the market again.
