Walter Gamerith biography:

Walter Gamerith started his artistic training at the Academy of Arts in Vienna. He specialized in painting in 1926 and attended the class of Professor Karl Sterrer (1885-1972). He completed his studies in 1930 and set off for some travels through Europe. His first exhibition was held at the Vienna Künstlerhaus in 1934, which resulted in his admission as a member in 1939. Gamerith painted portraits and nudes, but his main artistic focus was landscape painting. Italian and Parisian motifs deeply influenced his work, as well as the beautiful areas around Lake Attersee.
