Berndt Friberg utbildade sig vid Höganäs yrkesskola. En av våra stora keramiker, specialiserad på prydnadsgods i eleganta former. Började som drejare vid Höga­näs­bo­lag­et. Sedemera knuten till Gustavsbergs Porslinsfabrik. Drejare åt Wilhelm Kåge och Stig Lind­berg.
Han utvecklade olika glasyrer och de­buterade som stengods­kera­miker till­sam­mans med Calle Blomqvist och Stig Lindberg. Från 1944 egen verkstad vid Gustavsberg. Han be­härsk­­ade hela processen.
Representerad: Nationalmuseum i Stockholm, Malmö Museum, Norrköpings museum, Oslo och flera ledande museer.
