Der italienische Futurist erhielt seine künstlerische Ausbildung in Rovereto bevor er 1913 nach Rom zog. Dort wurde er mit den Futuristen Giacomo Balla und Umberto Boccioni bekannt, in deren Kreis er 1915 aufgenommen wurde. 1919 eröffnete er in Rovereto ein futuristisches Kunsthaus und 1959 das erste futuristische Museum Galleria Museo Depero.
