Oil on canvas, signed "RP", 31x100 cm. The painting Includes in a large seizure of counterfeit art from the 1980's. Technical examination of the painting shows a prior signature "Hubert Karlsson" in the lower right corner, which has been covered over with new paint. After that the forger painted a new signature "RP" in the lower left corner. The paint was not even dry when the buyer received the painting. The artist Ragnar Persson, has stated that he had not carried out or signed the painting. The district court's assessment: The painting is a forgery and shall be forfeited.

Ragnar Person studerade för Esaias Thorén och Waldemar Lorenzon båda ur Halmstadgruppen, i Stockholm och Paris 1933, samt under resor till Italien, Tyskland, Holland, Marocko och Västindien. Han var folklivsskildrare i expressionistisk stil. Motiven är ofta dystra och färgerna dova och tunga, med en förtätad stämning.
Representerad: i H. M. Konung Gustav den VI Adolfs samlingar, Malmö Museum, Växjö Museum, Borås och Halmstad museum.
